In Thunderbird you add the calendar directly via CalDAV. For contacts you additionally need the free CardBook add-on (CardDAV). You find the username and server address in your sync profile under Connection details.
Synchronise the calendar
- In Thunderbird, open the Calendar.
- On the left, under Calendar, right-click and choose New Calendar ….
- In the dialog, choose On the Network.
- Choose CalDAV and enter the username and server address. Both – username and calendar server address – are in the connection details of the sync profile. Click Next.
- Give the calendar a name (e.g. projectfacts calendar) and a colour. You can clear the Show reminders checkbox if you wish.
- Enter the password. This is the password you use to sign in to projectfacts. Tick Use Password Manager to remember this password, click OK and then Finish.
- Wait a moment – the calendar entries load gradually. Alternatively, restart the mail client.
Synchronise contacts (CardBook add-on)
- Click the menu icon → Add-ons → Add-ons.
- Search for the CardBook add-on, install it and restart Thunderbird.
- In the top menu, click the new CardBook entry.
- On the left, under All address books, right-click and choose New Address Book.
- Choose On the Network and click Next.
- Under Type, choose CardDAV. Under Connection, enter the server address, username and password – these details are in the sync profile under Connection details. Tick Use Password Manager to remember this password and click Next.
- Give the address book a name (e.g. projectfacts contacts).
- Wait a moment – the contacts load.
