2. General information on data processing
The help center is a pure information service. We do not use any cookies, no tracking and no web-analytics services, and we do not display a cookie banner. When you visit the pages, only the data described below is processed.
3. Hosting and server log files
Our pages are hosted in the data center of aixit GmbH, Rebstöcker Straße 55, 60326 Frankfurt am Main (Germany). We have concluded a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with the provider, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements. When you access the site, the server automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL (previously visited page)
- date and time of access
- IP address (in shortened or promptly anonymised form)
This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in a technically error-free and secure operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of collection.
4. Embedded YouTube videos
Some articles embed explainer videos from YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use the extended data protection mode ("no-cookie" mode) combined with a "two-click solution":
- As long as you do not actively click a video, only a preview image is shown. No connection to YouTube/Google is established and no data is transferred.

Only when you click the preview image or play button is the video loaded from
youtube-nocookie.com. Your IP address is then transmitted to Google and data may be transferred to the USA.
The legal basis for loading the video is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). For more information on how Google handles user data, see Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Fonts
For a consistent appearance we use the "Inter" typeface. It is hosted locally on our server; when you access the pages no connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) is established and no data is transferred to third parties.
6. Search function
The help center's full-text search runs entirely in your browser, based on a search index loaded when the page opens. Your search queries are not transmitted to our server and are not stored.
7. Contacting us
If you contact us via the email addresses provided or by phone, we process the data you provide solely to handle your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or – for contract-related enquiries – Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
8. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" in your browser's address bar.
9. Your rights as a data subject
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- access to your processed data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdrawal of a given consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany.
10. Currency of this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy whenever changes to our data processing make it necessary. The version published here applies in each case.
