This reference lists the authorised operations you can grant as group-specific permissions. Each operation is assigned to an authorised group and applied to an affected group or person (with optional exceptions). For how to set them up, see Set up group-specific permissions.

Visibilities
Who can see which information about which colleagues?

| Colleague visibility (online status, leave and sickness) | Which colleagues appear in the online/status list at the top right – including online status, leave and sickness. |
| Attendance details (check-in time, break, leave duration, …) | Detailed attendance information about the affected colleagues (check-in time, breaks, leave duration). |
| Visibility for HR areas (HR module) | Access to the HR data of the affected people in the HR area. |
| Visibility of leave requests | Insight into the leave requests of the affected group. |
| View colleagues’ phone calls | See the phone calls / phone notes of the affected colleagues. |
| Show available capacities | View the available capacities of the affected people. |
| See colleagues’ workplace bookings | Who sits where and when – the workplace bookings of the affected colleagues. |
Responsibility
Who bears responsibility for whom?

Workflows (leave & sickness)
Who initiates or confirms which personal processes?

| Request leave for colleagues | Request leave on behalf of the affected colleagues. |
| Approve leave request | Approve the leave requests of the affected group. |
| Approve leave requests (except your own requests) | As above, but without being able to approve your own requests. |
| Report colleagues sick | Report the affected colleagues as sick. |
| Certify sickness report | Confirm/certify a sickness report of the affected group. |
Travel costs
The typical four-step workflow for colleagues’ travel costs.

| View colleagues’ travel costs | View the travel costs of the affected colleagues (e.g. as a direct line manager). |
| Edit colleagues’ travel costs | Edit the travel expense reports of the affected colleagues. |
| Approve colleagues’ travel costs | Approve the travel costs of the affected colleagues. |
| Post approved travel costs | Post travel costs that have already been approved. |
Especially powerful

| Switch into a colleague’s user account | Use the employee switch to step into another user’s session and work with their rights. Very powerful – grant it only to a small, trusted group. Details in Set up group-specific permissions. |
Quick filters in the Group permissions tab
The top-level Group permissions list uses quick filters to surface typical search needs:
